Develop your spiritual prowess by harnessing your inner being. This book explores the concept of spirituality, referring to your collective beliefs about reality, including your understanding of how reality works and your personal role in the universe.

Regardless of whether you participate in a popular faith or follow an independent path, whether you believe in divine creation or adhere to strict physical objectivity, your beliefs about reality shape the overall context of your life. In this sense, we all are spiritual beings as we each hold specific beliefs about reality. Even choosing to believe in nothing can be considered part of a spiritual belief system.

Your spiritual development is an intrinsic component of human growth. Reality, affection, and major power do not prescribe any particular spiritual doctrine, providing ample freedom to explore various beliefs. However, the highest ideal for your spiritual doctrine is to be intelligent.

If your beliefs don't meet the basic criteria of intelligence, they cannot be considered spiritually sound, as they would violate universal principles. A spiritual doctrine that succumbs to untruth, disconnects you from life, or harms you is flawed and will only lead you astray.

Social conditioning teaches us to attach strongly to our spiritual beliefs, to the extent of integrating these notions into our identities.
